Let's skip the identification of the torrent source for the moment.

Since you're only missing 2 folders we should be able to figure out
which ones are missing fairly quickly.

Please post the number of folders you have in each of the 27
alpha-numeric subfolders: 1, A, B, C etc. etc.

This is what you *should* see:

folder, subfolders

1 3
A 9
B 5
C 15
D 9
E 9
F 8
G 3
H 2
I 5
J 4
K 3
L 4
M 21
N 5
O 4
P 13
Q 0
R 7
S 6
T 11
U 1
V 5
W 5
X 8
Y 2
Z 1

How does that compare with your torrent download?

Someone mentioned using NERO to mount the pl2005.iso and view the files.
I do have Nero and would like to try. BTW Isobuster refused to open the
iso with the comment, "isoVCLDisplay error 04". Thanks for your help.

Hello Harsha,

Earlier you posted:

"The *.iso image I downloaded is 604,071k . The download window showed
the file size to be 587,692 k. I would appreciate any explanation as to
how the file size increases during the download process!"

I wonder if you have a bad download? Could someone please post the exact
size (in bytes) of the "PL2005CDISO.ISO" or "pl2005cdiso.iso" ISO image
file.

Susan NOTE FOR NEXT YEAR:
last year we had *one* CD burned and copies mailed to individuals for
distribution
who in turn filled up requests. Not a problem with mdv5's or check sums.
Can I suggest that for next year we try the same thing?????????
ISTM that it is a better way, JMNSHO

Hi Omar,

While I'm thinking about my response to that could you *please* post the
exact size of the ISO file you downloaded - as requested above.

TIA

Hi Susan:
I do suspect a bad download. I guess I should try downloading
again, especially in view of Isobuster's msg,"Out of spec error. isoVCLDisplay
error 04" whatever that means :)

Sure a check from the CD I burned from the files d/l from Steve:
navigate to the CD--> highlite it--> right click --> properties and read
*601,784,320* I have taken the time to check each and every file everything
checks OK. Of course I have the original copy from Steve, forget about the
mdv5
it is KAPUT! ;-)

That is not the information I asked for. Another great failure to
communicate. . . ;)

I would like to know the size of the "PL2005CDISO.ISO" file you
downloaded from Steven's site.

Please, pretty please, pretty please with sugar on it. . .

I'd like to verify your suspicions. If someone posts the exact size of a
good download we should know the answer. It seems unlikely to me that a
bad download would be exactly the same size as a good download.

Thank you very much Mel. :)

601796608 bytes = 587692 KB

Harsha - it looks like you have a bad download. I think your best bet is
to download the ISO again or request a copy of the CD by mail. PuppyKatt
is the volunteer burner that is closest to you. You might try
downloading the ISO from her via emule. She posted information about
that and some people have completed successful downloads.

When I've compared your info with my copy of the CD it will narrow down
the field down to the subfolders in one or two of the alphanumeric folders.

Ok--as far as I can tell--D is missing 1 folder. All others check out.

make sure people download file fully)- can someone please download and
