Problem with mapped network drive

Error Message:::

An error occurred while reconnecting P: to
\\servername\sharename. Microsoft Windows Network: The
local device name is already in use. This connection has
not been restored.

I have a customer receiving this everytime she tries to
save something to the network drive

I have seen virus scan software cause this error message.
If this is the case, have her uninstall the virus software and try saving
something to the network drive.
