Connecting to shares on NT 4.0 Server

I have a 2000 pro client that connects to shares on a NT 4.0 server.
Whenever they save a file, it gives her the following message:

An error occurred while reconnecting O: to \\sharename
Microsoft Windows Network: The local devide name is already in use
This connection has not been restored

Once you log on to the network, if you look in explorer at her mapped
drives, they all have a red "x" on the icon.

This is similar behavior to kb article 319075, only we are not using
InoculateIT.

Any ideas? She is getting very annoyed with this behavior and I can't
figure out how to resolve.
