new to faxing....lots of help needed!

How do I send a fax Using My lexmark X5150? I'm using the lexmark because I
want to fax a scaned item. and when I got to save what I scaned what type of
file do I save it as??

I did send a fax without a scaned item but don't know how I did it, and it
was before I got my fax#

It's really a good idea to read the mfrs manuals before you post. Most if
not all of your questions should be answered in the manual(s).

The X5150 is connected to a phone line, and should behave as a stand alone
Fax machine.
Sending a FAX from a PC program depends upon the Fax program. The details
should be in the manual.
