Viewing fax

Leah

Using Windows XP FAX: I can send and receive faxes, BUT cannot simply view
them before sending OR after receiving a fax. When I click on "View" in Fax
Console, get error message: "FAX DOCUMENT CANNOT BE DISPLAYED BECAUSE YOUR
OPERATING SYSTEM DOES NOT HAVE A DEFAULT VIEWER FOR FAX DOCUMENT [.tif files]"

Eager to learn how to do this - can you help, please?

You fix this by resetting the file association for .TIF files to launch a
viewer capable of showing them, such as the Picture and Fax viewer. The
file association for .TIF files to use the Picture and Fax viewer is:

rundll32.exe <drive>:\WINDOWS\System32\shimgvw.dll,ImageView_Fullscreen %1
