I have 5 Win XP workstations connecting to a Windows 2003
server. 4 of these workstations are registers, while the
5th processes credit cards. The 4 all map a drive to a
shared folder on the 5th pc. Every day the 4 registers
will lose their mapped drive connection to the 5th
computer, and if you try to browse to it through My
Computer you get an error saying the drive is unavailable.
We are currently restarting the machines every morning and
they work fine all day, but overnight they seem to time
out and lose the connection. I've made sure all power
saving settings for the NIC are turned off. Please advise.
Thanks.
