word 2000 disappeared from my desktop

My MS Word disappeared from my desktop and I can't run the program. Although
I still have some of the components It says it's not installed on my computer
how can this be? I need to know how to get it to install again if that's what
I'm supposed to do, or maybe you can tell me what to do.
