I'm hoping someone will be able to give me some tips in resolving the windows
mail error I found when I started my computer this afternoon. I've copied
the details of the errors below:
Outlook Express Community Manager: WinMail.exe – Bad Image
C:\ Windows\system32\CRYPTDLG.dll is either not designed to run on Windows
or it contains an error. Try installing the program again using the original
installation media or contact your system administrator or software vendor
for support.
Click to acknowledge this then the next one is:
Windows Mail
Contacts failed to load
Then:
WinMail.exe
Windows Mail could not be started. The application may be unable to
initialize the Windows Contacts. Your computer may be out of memory or your
disk is full. (0x8004104E)
Then:
Windows Mail
Windows Mail could not be started because MSOE.DLL could not be initialised.
I have tried following the tips in older posts but couldn't see one that
included the .dll error I am getting at the start. I purchased a compaq
presario with vista home premium already loaded so I have no installation
disks to try - not sure what to do next. I run Trend Micro PC-cillan as my
anti-virus program and do not have norton or mcafee loaded; have disabled the
in and outgoing mail checker; rebooted twice; checked the available memory
and I still have heaps; I haven't tried to change the location of my mail
store.
I know this type of error has been around for a while but would appreciate
any ideas, thanks
