I have 4 machines on my home network and i would like to
install Win Xp on all of them is the Win XP activation
going to pose a problem with that?

Absolutely not, because you are going to buy 4 copies of Windows XP.
One for each PC, just as you have always done with all previous versions of
Windows.
Please ensure you are properly licensed today before you upgrade (unless you
are going to buy full retail copies for all machines) - you need to have a
paid for copy (either retail or supplied with the machine) of the version of
Windows running on each PC you have.
