Why can't I access this newsgroup through Outlook Express?

I have used Outlook Express to read these newsgroups
for years. Recent postings no longer appear through this
newsgroup on outlook express. When I post something via
Outlook Express, it shows up; but never with a response
and never with anyone else's postings. Postings that I
make via Outlook Express also do not show up on the web
page version of the newsgroup.
Is my server blocking my access to this newsgroup?

Not sure. For the MS newsgroups, it's probably best to use the
msnews.microsoft.com server - I've rarely had problems with it. And all the
MS newsgroups are there. It's free & no credentials are required....

I OE make sure you have your view set to show all messages.
On the webpage interface, I've found it to be slow and poor at best. Your
post will show but usually not for hours.

Hi

Have you been using your ISP's News Server or one of the Microsoft News
Servers to access these News Groups? If the former, try contacting your ISP
to see if they have any problems or try using one of the MS News Servers -
msnews.microsoft.com

That works. Thanks!

Apparently, my ISP didn't pay their newsgroup bill. I
Need to access newsgroups other than Microsoft, however.
Is there a similar server that accesses all newsgroups?

Thanks! Yes, my ISP is the problem. They are
supposedly researching it.

If your ISP doesn't provide a server, there are lots of others to
choose from. Some are free, others are on a pay basis. A Google
search will turn up many choices.

By the way, in case you don't realize it, Outlook Express can
handle multiple servers. You can, for example, use the Microsoft
server for the Microsoft newsgroups, and another server for other
newsgroups.
