I would appreciate anyone's help on this. I am trying to move my Quickbook
Customers to Outlook. I could not move them directly to Outlook. I
determined that I could import them into Excell and then import them into
Outlook. It took awhile to learn about the name a range step. Then once the
import went through, everything is correct except all of the phone number
fields. They are coming up as totally different numbers and usually with a
negative sign in front of them. I did review all the information in the
Excell spreadsheets. The phone numbers are visually correct whether they are
in text, general or special phone number format. I've gone back many times
to change the format of the phone number column and then reimport. Help!

Try exporting some data to Excel then check how the fields are mapped &
formated - maybe that helps

Interesting tact. I tried a small personal list of contacts into a second
Excell workbook. The phone number column comes up with a green triangle in
the upper left corner. This means that it is either a text format or the
number is preceded with an apostrophe according to the error message. Again
I tried to make logical format changes and reimport. In fact when I changed
one phone number cell in Excell to include an apostrophe in front. The phone
number did not appear at all following an import into Outlook. Still stumped
but thanks for the idea.
