'Server cannot be found' message when I try to download newsgroups to outlook express

Can someone explain why when I try to download newsgroups in outlook
express, I get 'server cannot be found'? I have O.E 6.

This is fairly common, and usually is your news server disconnecting
after a period of inactivity. You might call Charter support or visit
their web help for more information. If you have a modem, then there is
a setting in modem properties for an idle timeout that disconnects the
modem after a period of inactivity. In the Tools/Options
menu/Connection tab, there is a check box to hang up the modem after
sending/receiving email.

Perhaps you aren't using the proper server name or you've mistyped the
server name.

The server is msnews.microsoft.com . Check the news account settings
for this.
