Scanner Twain

I am currently attempting to re-install my scanner (Canon 124OU) after having
re-formatted my hard drive.
Although testing the scanner via the option for scanners in the control
panel works Ok, I get a message concerning unable to locate the Twain source
when I actually try to scan.
When loading the scanner software I get a similar message once again
refering to the Twain driverand suggesting that the scanner will not function
correctly.
I have been on the Canon website and downloaded the driver for the scanner
but once again have the problem when attempting to scan.
I would therefore appreciate anyones help or advice on this matter as I am
now at a loss as what do do next.

use DEVICE MANAGER

To access device manager right click on my computer and then go to
properties. Then navigate to the hardware tab and click on device manager. It
will then populate a list of devices connected to your computer. Click on the
device that is causing you problems and right click on it and then click
uninstall. Once you have uninstalled it, restart your computer. Then it will
rediscover the new device. Use driver for it off the manufacturers website
(when you install the driver).

I hope that helps you

Cheers

Stop posting this drivel! I'm giving you the benefit of the doubt that
you actually mean well, but I'm rapidly coming to believe that I'm
wrong and you really are malicious. You need to know what you are
talking about in order to give advice to posters. There are very real
consequences for other people if they follow inaccurate advice.
