Save As dialoig box behind document

I

Invalid

I frequently create "new" documents that are modifications of old ones. I
open the document, and immediately Save As the new name (then modify). When
I do this, however, the "Save As" dialog box opens *behind* the document. I
have to minimize the document window to get to the Save As box, type the new
name, and then redisplay the document. This happens whether I do "Alt>F>A"
(I'm an old keyboard user!) or select the commands from the menu bar. This
sometimes even happens after I've been working in the document for a while.

Any ideas why this would happen? Any way to stop it?

Using Word 2002 on Windows XP Professional, latest SP.

TIA,
Bob

Are you running Norton AV? This is typical problem caused by its Office
plug-in. Turn off the plug-in.

FABULOUS!

Took me a bit to find where to turn it off, but it solved two problems:
First, the dialog box is now visible. Second, it doesn't take a half hour
to open one of my own documents!

Thanks so much!
