Problems installing SP4

The SP4 setup program display the following messages near
the end of installation:
1. Unable to connect to metabase.
2. Setup failed to remove ism.dll script mappings. Service
Pack Setup will abort.
3. An error in updating your system has occurred.

The current version of Win2000 Pro installed is SP2. Most
of the Windows components are installed.

What could be the cause of the problem? Please help.

I had this on a server. I made sure that administrator had
full rights to the directory and ran SP4. This only
happened on one server, figure that out.
