Printing/Scanning..start over..??

How do I start from scratch,,take out what I have tried
to download,,that hasn't worked evidently, and sign on as
Administrator,,not sure of any of this,, but want to
try...do I have to do something to the Registry. I want
to try again and download the drivers for my Cannon
Printer and Scanner,,,I have Windows XP...Thanks for ANY
HELP..

Shouldn't be any need to go into the Registry.....
