pci.sys error

I tried to install win xp pro on a newly built system (P4 3.4/1GB RAM) and
the install halted at this error point:
STOP:0X00000007E(0XC00....) PCI.SYS-ADDRESS F78360BF base at F782F000, DATE
STAMP 3b7d855c.
How do I proceed from here please?
