Outlook/Exchange 2000 Recurring Messages

We are having a problem with either Outlook 2000 or
Exchange 2000. Several users repeatedly are getting their
recurring reminders from appointments that have happened
years before.

I have checked the knowledge base to no avail. Has anyone
else experienced this?

Have you tried running Outlook once from the start | run line, with the
/cleanreminders switch?
