DST 2007 Outlook Meeting Problem

Ok I thought I was in the clear with the whole DST update but I guess not.

I have patched all my clients, servers, and Exchange servers. Rather than
use the dreaded tzmove on Exchange for the Outlook Clients (2000) we had our
users reschedule recurring appointments after the clients were patched, that
way they would be rescheduled for the correct time. It seems to have worked
fine for everyone except for a few clients.

On a few clients the meetings in their calendar still show 1 hour later for
the extra DST weeks. They did receive the patch and I verified this by
changing their clock to March 11 at 1:59am and watched it switch to 3am. I
set up a new meeting for them or invite them to a meeting and it will show 1
hour later still!
Heres the simliarity between these users; they are all executives who have
other people with permissions to their calendar. Some of them the
permissions are set up on the exchange server / advanced / mailbox rights
while others are simply set up using the permissions tab in outlook. Its not
happening to all execs either. Most of the executives with outlook
permissions for their calendar to other users work just fine. All use the
same version of Outlook 2000 and Windows XP, Exchange 2003.

Anyone seen this or similar?

I have see the very same issue on my network and seeking a solution to the issue. This "patch has already caused me enough grief with creating Blackberry issues. It seems the Evil Empire has decided on acting as though it is a govenrment agency and "fixxing" things that I did not ask for to be "fixed". This patch did not just affect the DST issue but also inculed several security "fixxes". If MS could have just kept to fixxing the DST issue and leave the security for later maybe they could have gotten it right.
For right now all I can do is have my few users that are being affected is to have them reschedule their meetings. I am a lone admin with 160+ users with 50+ server to take care of so my users are going to have to take care of them selves on this one. The time that they seem to be affected begins on the day of DST change and goes back to normal when the original DST time change was to happen.

Geez, this Egghead Cafe is worse than nothing!!!!!!!!!!!!

Seen exactly WHAT issue with your users?? This is an internet NNTP forum that Egghead Cage so blithely posts your questions to without so much as a how to do or previous thread postings.

If it were up to me, I would ban (cracked)Egghead Cafe from ever posting anything to the NNTP news.microsoft.com news server to avoid crap like this showing up without any prior reference or information.

What a freakin' waste of time!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
