outlk11.adm VS DisablePST

Hello
I want to delete the option for archiving / autoarchiving for my users and i
want to prohibit the use of pst.
Are the settings for Autoarchive in the outlk11.adm the same than using
DisablePst in the registry (KB258277) ?
It seems to me that with the policy the autoarchive tab in each folder of
the inbox are not hidden and the user can open PST ?
thanks for your help

No, DisablePST blocks almost all use of .pst files. The AutoArchive settings control how archiving to a .pst file is done (or not done), but it has no effect on the user's ability to open .pst files.
