I have been trying to send an email and it immediately goes to my out box and
will not go out. What could be wrong.
 
1. You should post this question to an OUTLOOK newsgroup and not a Microsoft
Access database newsgroup. You are likely going to get better help that way.

2. You should check your outgoing mail settings:

Tools > Email Accounts > View or change existing e-mail accounts. Select
the account and click CHANGE.

3. Make sure the Outgoing mail server (SMTP) setting is right and

4. Click on the MORE SETTTINGS button and

5. Click on Outgoing Server and normally the checkbox for My outgoing server
(SMTP) requires authentication is checked and the Use same settings as my
incoming mail server is selected.

If that doesn't help then post back as to what mail server you are using (is
it HTTP or POP3, or Exchange server).
