Hi,

I would like to setup an email account (POP3) that i want to use to receive
only. I would like to disable send.

We are using MS Outlook 2000

don't add an SMTP server.
 
you need a SMTP server to complete the profile... but it can be 'mail' or
'smtp' or another non-working server name. (Invalid or no_send are good
names too. :)) it can also be the smtp used with other accounts in the
profile.

Sorry, that's not viable. Outlook's account creation wizard requires the
specification of an SMTP server. It doesn't have to exist, however. With
later versions of Outlook, it would be a simple matter of creating a
send/receive group that doesn't send, but I don't know how to do that with
OL 2000.
