Nothing happens when I click on "Send and receive"

I've set-up a couple of e-mail accounts within Outlook 2003 - one POP3
account and one Hotmail account. They both check-out fine when I test them
(using Outlooks built-in test option - the one that appears when you set-up
the account - this works perfectly on the POP3 account).

But nothing (whatsoever) appears to happen when I clcik on "Send and
receive" (or press F9). There no sign of any uploading or downloading. It's
as though I haven't set-up any accounts.

It's weird and I'm stumped. Any ideas? Cheers,

Bobby

Have a look at

Tools -> send recieve settings -> define send recieve groups

Under "Group Name" it should probably say "All Accounts". Further down it
should say "Setting for group "All Accounts"" and under that there are some
options eg

"Include this group in the send/recieve (F9)"

Thanks - but when I select "Tools -> Send/Receive -> Send/receive settings"
(I'm using Outlook 2003) nothing happens (at all).

I've got a feeling that this is linked to my problem.

Any ideas?

Do you have the most recent patches and service packs installed? I think
this specific problem was addressed (or I could be thinking of this same
problem in a different version). Nonetheless, you might as well take the
time to update your windows and office files. It certainly won't hurt and
might solve the problem.
