In Outlook, when I send/receive just 1 acct, nothing happens.

I am new to Outlook. I used to use Outlook Express. I have set up several
email accounts that I use. When I go to choose just ONE email account (not
my regular send/receive group) to download messages from, NOTHING happens.
They are still on the server of that email account and not in my Outlook.
When I test the account settings through Outlook, it says they are OK. What
can I do to make sure that my messages from one account download when I
choose that account? Thanks in advance to whomever may be able to help.

If you choose to use the full send/receive group, do the messages download?

Also, does the progress dialog show anything while downloading that one
account?

Yes, the messages download, but they don’t disappear from the gmail server
like they used to on Outlook Express. If I personally deleted them from the
GMail server, they also deleted themselves from the Gmail files that they
posted to on Outlook. I had no messages anywhere.

I have Outlook 2007. Apparently, it only works with gmail as IMAP. I use
POP for all my other email accounts. I finally had to make a filter to put
them in my inbox. Then I was able to delete them from the gmail server.
But, I still had to do this manually.

Is there any way to improve upon this “labor-intensive†situation?

Thanks for your help.
