Hello,

I have a system with Win ME on it. I installed a copy of
Windows XP Professional on the system but I messed up and
did not do a clean install (that would erase Win ME). Now
I have a dual boot system with Win ME and XP Pro on it. I
am trying to reinstall XP from CD again and I cannot do a
clean install from the Win XP CD.

I've changed the boot order for the CD to be the first
boot item but it does not boot. Instead if booting from
the CD it now gives me a tri-boot option of Win ME, XP and
Win XP setup CD.

I have no desire to keep any of the files on this system
so I am happy to format the entire hard drive. I just
want to get rid of Win ME.

Any suggestions on how to do a clean install?

Thanks in advance,
Michael
