Installing Defender

I had to uninstall Defender manually and for some reason a file called
MpShHook.dll will not delete and now when I try to reinstall Defender it
download but when its done and goes to start the install it just disappears

Can you make sure that no other antispyware or "protective" software is
running on your system, and, in addition, turn off real-time protection in
your antivirus, for just long enough to do the install?

I have all antivirus disabled but it still does the same thing I think its
becasue of this file MpShHook.dll. It will not delete for some reason it says
it may be in use its part of defender and its the only file in the program
files/windows defender directory

The times I have seen this before, it has been an add on to another
antispyware program that has been preventing the clean uninstall of the
program.

You might try restarting Windows in safe mode and see whether you can delete
the file then.
