I need help with task bar with desktop docked

I have my desktop docked in my taskbar or tray
It work for a while then locks up and will no longer pop up for use.
Is this this caused by a memory issue or is another application interuppting
? Can this option be shutdown in the task manager and restarted? What is the
task that runs tis option?
The only way I can get it to work is to reboot. This is driving me nuts
Please Help

1. Have you considered waiting a reasonable time - a few days - to get
responses before posting the same question again? And again? And still
again?

2. I have no idea what you are talking about.

3. If you want to access the desktop without minimizing apps, just press the
Windows key + D. Do it again to reinstate things as they were.

In the task bar you have the option of displaying toobars,
Desktop,Links,Quick Launch,etc.
I have the desktop toolbar toggled so I can open application or folders add
leave the open aplication in view. Yes I know about the Win+d key but thats
not what I want to achieve.I would love to fix this
Again sorry for the multiple post. I was getting error messages telling me
that it could post my message
