When I log out of Hotmail, I used to be automatically
redirected to MSN homepage, now it doesn't, it just
leaves a blank screen. Any ideas?

use outlook express instead. It's better - no ads, for a start, and if you
use windows messenger it even has your contacts. MSN messenger doesn't
always do it though.
