Hotmail and Verizon

I have a few Hotmail accounts and noticed the following recently:

"Are you aware of the new version of MSN Hotmail - "Windows Live Hotmail"?
I have Qwest, Verizon, or Bell Canada as my Internet service provider. How
will my account be updated?
Your account cannot be updated right now. It will be automatically updated
later this year as a part of our update process for Internet Service
Providers (ISP). At this time, you don't need to do anything."

What do they mean by "your account cannot be updated right now?"

Does anyone know what this is all about?
Can I still use Hotmail now and it is 'automatically updated' later this year?
Or will things change?

Thank you.
When I go to those pages I see "Get It Free." Does that mean I have to
download a program? Or is it just a simple sign-up procedure, similar to how
I signed up for the HotMail (Windows Liveâ„¢ Account) I now have.
I just go on IE and open my HotMail account. I don't want some other
program, etc., loaded on my computer. I am using Verizon DSL and not that
knowledgeable and don't want to 'foul-up' anything.
When the automatic update takes place, what actually happens? Do I just open
and sign in as I usually do now? Or do I have to sign up for a new account,
etc.?
Sorry for all the questions, but I am confused.

Dunno. You might try clicking on the Get It Free button at
http://get.live.com/mail/overview and see what happens. No, you don't have
to download anything. You'd just be taken to the new interface and sign-in
page, if it works.

The new interface is being rolled out to all Hotmail users worldwide on a
schedule. As your account appears to be related to an ISP, you might have
to wait for it to happen...but it WILL happen eventually without you having
to do anything.

You can learn more at the links I posted in my previous reply. You'll find
more discussion about Windows Live Hotmail in this newsgroup:

BTW, are they (e-mail address removed) accounts, (e-mail address removed) accounts, or a mix of
both?
