Doesn't look legit at all. Never saw a real Hotmail message with "Dear
Account User". They all have, simply, "To: %[email protected]". Or "To:
User", where "User" is the nym configured in Windows Live Messenger for
other contacts to see.

Also, this is just a variation on a theme I saw shortly after setting up my
first Hotmail account in 1999. Solomon (author of Ecclesiastes) was right:
"There is nothing new under the sun".

I'm fully aware these scams have been around for a long time. This one
arrived with a very authentic-looking logo. I worry about folks who are new
to the Internet and may be susceptible to things like this. The warning was
for them and for friends/relatives of folks in this ng.

That's phishing scam and should be reported to (e-mail address removed) I
think is the address, if it still works. Send the spam as an attachment
to your email; don't just copy it from the screen.
