hello: On our computer we have had 2 accounts for 3 or 4 years. In the last
two weeks, on my account windos media player opens and funtions normally.
whereas on my husband's account it does not open at all. Also, he can open
his hotmail but cannot open any of the messages. the formum page also does
not work.

We are getting an error message only on the forum page. It says "you have to
activate active X controls" As far as I could find them they are activated.

I tried uninstal and reintall the media player. and also to remove and
recreate the second account but to no avail. I also tried to shut down the
mcAfee protection and this did not help either.

Everythign works fine on my account.

any suggestions?

thanks

What changed before it broke?
Does it work correctly on a new third account?
