Can't open links in my Hotmail messages

Guest

I have had a Hotmail account for years. Within the past (5) days I have been
unable to open up links that I am normally able to open. i.e. I wanted to buy
something from "Smart Bargains" and when I clicked my cursor on the item -
nothing happens. I tried some other links that I use all the time - and again
nothing happens. The problem is NOT in opening up my Hotmail. I am also able
to send and receive messages using this Hotmail account. I access the web via
internet explorer, and I pay for "Insight" computer/cable service. Not
dial-up phone connection.
I am not a computer wizard .... ha ha.... as you probably can tell.... so if
you can help me figure this out - please make what you tell me
"easy-to-understand"....
Thanks a bunch,

Empty your temporary Internet Files folder and try again:

C:\Documents and Settings\Your Username\Local Settings\Temporary Internet
Files

Make sure that hidden files in turned on (Tools > Folder Options > View
Tab).

Hi Kathy,

Close Internet Explorer and Outlook Express if either are open.

Start/run "regsvr32 urlmon.dll" (without the quotes)

Control panel/Internet options/programs tab, click on "reset all web
settings"

Reopen and retry the links in Internet Explorer and Outlook Express.
