HIde inactive icons

Hi
The facility to hide / unhide inactive or past items in the notification
area is disabled not allowing me to change the properties at all. Tthe
dropdown menu beside each icon description gives no ohter option than hide
when inative. Kelly's tackbar repair tool has no effect!
