Task Bar not auto-hiding inactive icons.

I just reloaded Windows XP pro and loaded all updates (SP2 and all other
critical updates). When I was complete, the task bar (lower right of the
screen where the clock is) no longer hides inactive icons. I checked
properties and the "Hide inactive Icons" is selected. I deselected it,
rebooted, re-selected it and rebooted and it still won't hide inactive
icons. Does anyone have any ideas why it's not hiding inactive icons and
(or) how to fix it?

Thanks,

Ben

Hello Ben,

It usually takes some time before Windows figures out the icons that
are less frequently used and hides them. You may want to wait for a
couple of hours more.

This was the problem.. Took more than a couple of hours though.. More
like 6 hours of on time as I loaded XP yesterday..

Thanks,

Ben
