Frustrating Yahoo&Hotmail pop-up's when pc start-up

hi

I have xp pro and have yahoo mail and hotmail installed to tell me when i
have received new mail.However the pop-ups if very frustrating when my pc
start-up and this programmes is not in my startup menu. (Start > All
Programs > Start-up) How can i disable the automatic pop-ups when i log on
to my pc.

However i do not want to uninstall them as i am using it.

Hi,

You don't say exactly what popups you're talking about, but programs running
at startup is located other places as well. You could try starting
"msconfig" from the run prompt and check the tab Startup to see what registry
entries are running at startup. Other than that, check the settings in Yahoo
Mail and Hotmail, might be som settings there to turn off those popups as
well.
