When I click on the start menu and go to all programs I used to be able to
right click on a program and select Pin to Start Menu from the pop up menu.
Now when I do this nothing happens. No pop up appears. I have Windows XP SP
2. I use Mozilla Firefox 5.0 browser. Also Verizon Yahoo Norton online
protection 2006 which is a service provided by them.
Can anyone help? Thanks, Thinman007

See if the following helps.

Go to Start -> Control Panel and double click Taskbar and Start Menu.
Click on the Start Menu tab.
Hit the Customize button.

1. If you're using the XP style menu, click on the Advanced tab.
In the Start menu items box, make sure "Enable dragging and dropping" is
checked.
Click OK twice.

2. If you're using the Classic menu, look in the "Advanced
Start Menu options" box for "Enable dragging and dropping".
Make sure it's checked.
Click OK twice.

Good luck

Thanks Elmo. That site is helpful. After I posted my question I experimented
by right clicking the start menu>properties>customize>advanced. I enabled
dragging and dropping under start menu items and it seems to have solved my
problem.
