I currently have no unread emails, however when I look at the folders list to
the left, it says I have one unread.

I have triple checked the whole list, even highlighted the whole thing and
set it to "mark as read", I have checked the subfolders, but i still cannot
find this email.

I would imagine this could be somehting on the email server, as this is a
team inbox, however I was hoping to get an inshight as to what it coudl be.

What am I doing wrong for this to happen?

Thanks for the assist, but our network provider has locked down permissions
somewhat.

However, I right click on the inbox folder and set it to "mark all as read"
and it did the trick
So it is a shared Exchange mailbox? In that case verify that they have given
you also the permission to view private items.

Yup, that does the trick but you've never actually read the message now ;-)
