iphone hides emails pushed from outlook exchange server 2003

problem processing emails that originate on MS exchange server 2003 Outlook.
Unread mail from outlook pushes to iphone "inbox" except some unread messages
bypass the inbox and go straight to subfolders that were created in outlook
to handle "read" mail. Make sense? bottom line, i have to scroll through
all folders on iphone to be sure i havent missed any unread mail.

Do you use rules to move the read mail or do you move it yourself as you
read it?

If you use rules, is something causing these messages to be marked read?
