notification of new mail

Hi,

I have a mail folder list which contains 3 folders. Each folder is titled
with the email address and the Inbox is part of the sub folder listed under
each address. However, it is only my inbox subfolder which tells me how many
unread emails I have so to check I have to keep each folder list open all the
time.

Is there anyway I can have my main folder show the number of unread emails
as this would help me keep my mail folders list reduced until I receive an
Email.

I hope I have explained it clearly enoug.

Which mail account type(s) are you using?
Using POP3 and assigning a separate delivery location for each account will
still raise a new message alert.
It won't when you move it by rules.
You can also mark the Inbox folders or Unread Mail folders as default.
