Changes Since Moving to Exchange

Hi there;

I have subfolders within the inbox, and then subfolders within the
subfolders. I also have rules so that when a message comes in from a certain
person the message goes into their folder.

Before we moved to our new exchange server if someone sent a message and the
message went to their folder, the number of unread emails in the folder
changes (ie, if Joe Bloggs sends an email to me his message goes to the Joe
Bloggs folder, and it looks like Joe Bloggs (1)). And the folder that the
'Joe Bloggs' is in (for this example it could be 'staff') would also show
there is an unread message (ie it would be staff (1)).

So the structure of this would be Inbox (1) > Staff (1) > Joe Bloggs (1).

However since moving to our exchange, we now only get the sub-sub-folder
showing a new message, so it looks like

Inbox > Staff > Joe Bloggs (1).

This is a problem as the 'staff' folder has a large number of folders in it
and having to keep this expanded is a pain. Any thoughts as to how I get the
folders above it to start showing an unread message again?

Hope that all made sense!

Cheers :)

Outlook never did that before you started using Exchange either ;-)
You can use a Search Folder though to aggregate the (unread) messages of all
the subfolders of a specific (or more) folders. It would be the same effect
as the top folder reporting a new message in a subfolder.
