unread mail not showing

I am using Outlook 2002 and in the inbox I have 1 unread message (or so it
tells me), however I have looked through the whole list and cannot find it.

I have also highlighted the whole list and marked it a read, but to no
prevail.
I have checked the folders contained within the inbox but they do not show
any unread emails (only the main inbox has "1" next to it)

I thought it may be a hidden email, but I didn't think outlook would support
such a feature (or would want to

Any ideas on what it could be?
