Desktop Icon Placement

Hi,
How does the xp remember where the icons are situated on the desktop? I
want to know if there is a file or something I can save, so when they
decide to move themselves to different places, I can just replace that file
without dicking around manually placing them.
TIA

Re: Allen's non-answer
How does that explain how XP remembers where icons are?
How does it answer the question as to whether there is a program available?
How does it address not having to manually relocate all the icons if
something moves them on you? Which can happen for many reasons.
Why did you even bother to respond to this?
Can you read?

Inquiring minds want to know.

Take a screen shot of your Desktop.

Hit the Print Scrn key and paste into Paint.

Save the file.

Nope doesn't help.

I arrange icons around my desktop.
I shut down windows.
I restart windows and the icons are where I placed them.
with me so far?
How does windows remember where I put the icons??

Wayne,

C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Desktop
and
C:\Documents and Settings\Your Name Here\Desktop
and
Somewhere in the registry. I don't know where.
