comp has developed a lag/temporary freeze

After installing SP2, the computer has developed a lag or a temporary freeze
which lasts a second or two every now and then! The mouse freezes, text
freezes while inputtng text and even multimedia files seem to stall
inbetween. I first thought it is a ram problem, but doubling to 512 mb ram
also did not help. Pl. help, what could be the solution? - Amit

Hi Amit,

We could see if another application is not compatible with Windows XP sp2;
Temporarily disable the startup programs and services.

1. Click on Start, then Run, then type in MSCONFIG in the box and click OK.

2. On the General tab, pick Selective Startup, and uncheck all boxes except

"process system.ini" and "System Services".

3. Click on the Services tab, then check the "Hide all Microsoft Services",
then

uncheck all checkboxes (except "Hide all Microsoft Services").

4. Click OK and restart Windows. There will be a new dialog box coming up
upon

restart, about the System Configuration Utility. Please make sure to check
the

checkbox.

see if you nstill have the same problem

Also , It is important to know there is enaugh HDD space to install Windows
xp sp2

Espero que esta informacion sea util
