I have a new PC running XP SP2. I have plugged in my video through the rca
line in audio but the 'Advanced controls' selection from the options menu in
volume control is grey out and I cannot activate the line in.

Any help appreciated.

Hi,

That means that either the sound card doesn't support it, or that a full
driver set is not installed. Do not use a Windows-supplied driver for the
sound card, use a full set from the manufacturer.
