Volume Control

Somehow I lost the Volume icon in the Taskbor. I don't know how or when.
However, When I go to Sounds and Audio Devices Properties and check mark "
Place volume icon in the Taskbar", I get this error notice " Windows cannot
display the volume control on the Taskbar because the volume control program
has not been installed. to install it, use Add/Remove Programs in Control
Penal". So now I go to the Add/Remove Programs and when I click on it, I get
this notice "Windows XP Setup, Setup was unable to open information file
games.Inf. Contact your system administer. The specific error code is 0x2 at
line 2088999411". I need help from you folks, because I'm stump. Appreciate
your help.

Try re-installing the the WinXP-specific audio drivers, as provided by
your sound card's manufacturer
