WinXP SP2, Volume Control panel.

I wish to adjust the treble level but (under Advanced tab) the Tone Control
settings for Bass and Treble are greyed out.

The Help topic displays the following note:

"On the Options menu, if the Advanced Controls command is unavailable, your
sound driver does not support separate bass and treble settings."

I require assistance as how to upgrade my sound driver or any other
suggestions as how to make the Treble control functional.

Buy a better sound card, and have it installed. Your system card probably
won't control treble.

Or buy speakers with Treble control. I'm very happy with my Creative
T20's (Bass, Treble & Volume).
Of course, if we're talking about a laptop with integrated speakers and
soundcard then neither suggestion will work, and you're stuck with what
you've got.
