Not tried the Spec ops yet, still hammering the MP game.

This is why i hate IW for what they have done to MW2 BTW....

I use to play with com_maxfps 250 without issues. (bug in the game engine that means its basically better if you can hold a steady 125 or 250 fps)

Yesterday it keeps resetting to 85 (default)

(Seems IW and/or steam have made a small update to stop you setting it at 250)

Yet i can set it to com_maxfps 0 (unlimited) and its fine. (meaning i max out at about 280ish, but its not steady at 250 like i want. :( )

Why?

Gutting :( That doesn't happen very often either.

Give the special ops ago while it's down - they are pretty good :)

Theres some interesting news going around that some hackers are able to send other players (the host I think, or if the hacker is hosting) a Trojan via IWNet.

Not sure how this works, or if it's true, but just thought I would mention it.....

Apparently they are able to hack the server and send virus/trojans to people, in the process they run aimbot in the game, and send a non tagged member to the other team to TK.

quite a story those guys are.

This was the trojan they were trying to send;

TR/Crypt.XPACK.Gen

So is this IW idea of a joke when iwnet is suppose to be hack free when yet its probably less secure then a Windows 98 system with no protection?

That is incredibly serious if true - I admit I'm sceptical, but if you hear anything else on this please do post it V_R :thumb:

There are lots of thread popping up about this now, so I guess IW are going to have to confirm/deny this very soon.

Hi,
The sample was re-analyzed and it is clean. The detection is already removed, just update.

Have any of you tried the Spec-Ops mode on this? I'm up to the Delta section, and it's starting to get pretty hard! Those "juggernaughts" that come running out at you take quite a few shots to finish off, even 6 sniper rifle shots .

It's worth checking it out :) It can be played in single player or co-op mode, and works well in both. Some of the later levels are so difficult though.
