backing up files

i installed the backup utility on the home edition i do fine until i get to
the page where you choose where to backup your files i choose drive e and i
don't kn ow what to put in the file name no matter what i put it reads: the
backup file name cannot be used example if i called the file "backup"
E:\backup.bkf" it saus please ensure it is a valid path and you have
sufficient access what am i doing wrong? i'm a novice user thanx
 
What is drive E. You have got to be specific here!

Is it safe to assume that drive "E" is a CDRW drive? NTBackup can't
write to a CDRW directly, unless you have installed a third-party
packet-writing application. Even then, you can only use ONE CDRW,
limiting you to what, around 700mb of data. Not very useful if one is
trying to back up their system drive.
