backing up data

Hi, this is my first backup attempt to a DVD. I use the backup wizard and
things seem to go well until I get to the widow that asks for the Backup
type, destination and name. The backup type is faded (cannot specify) and no
matter what I use for a name ( I have tried three or four) it comes back with
an error of:
"The Backup file name could not be used"

It then list the name I used: "D:\backup.bkf"

It then says " please ensure it is a valid path, and that you have
sufficient access"

Windows Backup utility can't save files directly to a CD-RW drive

"Decide Where to Store Your Backup Files"

Personally, I use Acronis.
