Automatic action when CD inserted

Mike Storms

Where can I control what action is automatically taken when a new CD is
inserted? When I inserted a blank CD, WindowsXP used to automatically open
File Explorer so that I could drag and drop files to the CD to burn. Now
that no longer happens. Where do I go to make it happen again? More
generally, where do I go to control what automatic action happens when a CD
is inserted?

TIA for any help,
Mike

Hi Mike Storms,

In microsoft.public.windowsxp.general you remarked...

Right click on the drive icon and select Properties> Autoplay.

Hi,

Right-click the CD drive in Windows Explorer, select properties. Go to the
autoplay tab to set your options.
